On the return flight from Girona, husband and I had the Ryanair App for boarding pass, and were determined not to be old people pocket-patting and saying we had no battery. At check-in, there was no one on the counter and a Ryanair person was trying not cry, checking in the whole queue by getting us to weigh our own baggage, print the labels and apply them. This requires training and they make it look easy. I made a Moebius Strip, I have not made one since I was 9. Husband who is not allowed superglue stuck label to himself and has now arrived safely in Zagreb.
This is superb but especially “husband who is not allowed superglue” - this made me honk laughing so loudly that I’m going to have to scrape my dogs off the ceiling with a spatula! Thank you so much!
I was at a primary school visiting a student (I taught education ) and a five year old came up to me and told me that if I needed to talk about anything or if anything was worrying me then I should come to her as she was the special person in the class . They had a whole school policy of having someone in each class who had that role . I nearly wept it was so sweet !!!!

This is wonderful! I think buying men flowers is SUCH a special thing to do. The flowers I got this week were from a very dear friend and she bought me my first every bouquet when we were teenagers and it was such a special moment especially as it was for no other reason that “just because”. A memory to treasure!
Badly want a goat tower. Also, re. train stag: for years I've seen a fibreglass polar bear from the train back to Suffolk. The other day I thought, huh, I wonder why they keep moving that polar bear by a few feet, there isn't really much point. Meanwhile my daughter has mentioned 'the zebra near Ipswich' a few times, but we assumed she meant a plastic zebra in a back garden. But the other day the fibreglass polar bear was walking about. It is real! And the zebra! They're at Jimmy's Farm and they EXIST. (very against polar bears in fields in English heatwaves but that's not the point).

I just GASPED OUT LOUD at the camping man! I guess we can say he was thinking of safety first? But that’s not what you want to see while you are chargrilling your sausages on your portable camping stove is it? 😂
Your joy parade made its magic: I just received my dose of smile and I feel much better. Today is garage sale’s day. I’m going to join my two partners in garage sale crime: one searches Lego, the other HIFI stuff, and I look for Fischer Price toys. All of us in our 50s, of course. Have a nice Sunday, Alex!

If you enjoy cross sections, I highly recommend the Ravensburger Colin Thompson Higgledy-Piggeldy House puzzle. (1000 pieces). The details are so small, and amusing! I've had to use a magnifying glass to find them all. Many of his other puzzles have the same details.
Me: (laughing like a drain while standing by the hob making eggs and reading Joy Parade). Daughter number one: ‘What is it Mamma?’ (Stops, sees mobile, realises it’s Sunday morning) ‘Oh,’ (she continues knowingly,) ‘Joy Parade’. Quite. Such fans of yours at our house. Many thanks!
This kind of joyous trouble-making seems to be hereditary. I am glad you’ve put this inclination towards making me gasp, laugh in a most crackly fashion, and choke on my tea in bed on Sunday mornings

I think the socks should definitely be a gift from you to you. They are actually so USEFUL! I’m planning on just lifting the hem of my slacks to show them off whenever I’m in a CBA mood!

Thanks Alex! I don’t think it’s quite as warm ‘up north’ as you are ‘down south’ but it’s no fun hobbling about like an old crone.
To be fair my recovery is going very well. Thank Goodness for the wonderful NHS.
