Honestly, if you knew how much I delight in every detail of your brilliant and funny observations and how you deliver them to us— GOD, it's like manna right now in this world of dull, commercialized muck. Your Joy Parade is a gift and I am so grateful!

What a truly lovely thing to say. Thank YOU so much for reading! (I think there is something a bit rebellious about Joy in the current world) :)

so true. and how crazy that celebrating and nurturing our wild creativity is a rebellious act . . but then again, artists have been the revolutionaries for millennia so, we sally forth with our nasturtium parasols!

Too much delight to comment on it all - but can’t stop picturing that sweet photo of Hockney and Joni in their colorful garb!

Well today is my birthday and opening my Pigeon Post was the icing on the cake for me. Thank you so much, as I have sniggered and chuckled all the way through it from start to finish. Was the highlight of my day - Very Marvellous it was too !!

Love everything except I cannot get on with that version of Emma..Dare I say it, but I prefer the Gwyneth P version more? I know that is a blasphemous take.

AlexTSmith's avatar

Oh I love that version too! I just think the 2020 Emma was such a visual feat when it came out two mins before the pandemic and is something lovely to look at on a grey day. Also I LOVE the bit about finding the colours by investigating the seam allowances of period pieces!

It is beautiful and my mother was a clothing obsessive and seamstress and she thought the 2020 version was utterly sublime. The costumes were incredible

Loved "plaster spattered slacks" and those Hockney dogs look like gorgeous chubby seals. Delightful

AlexTSmith's avatar

Seals! Yes, that’s EXACTLY what they look like! 💕

Love all of it and buying the tea cosy

It’s lovely isn’t it! Do remember to stand pressed to the window in a headscarf whilst you wait for it to arrive!

Can’t stop thinking about Women are Like Herbs. Could you possibly be due an ear syringing? Women have like Nerves? Women are like Pervs? Women are like Kerbs? (There one minute and inexplicably gone the next?)

AlexTSmith's avatar

😂 it was DEFINITELY herbs! Did be mean wise like sage? Zingy like mint? THE MIND BOGGLES!

We had a customer in our community library where I volunteer who told me she just didn’t do hardbacks as they’re too heavy - probably a wrist problem?
